Manager of Network Services
Univ. of Tennessee Health Science Center 2005-present
Beginning as a Senior Network Technician, I now manage the campus-wide network for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Coordinating routing, switching and other network infrastructure changes including wireless, CATV, VPN and firewalls.
Network Administrator
Shelby County Schools, 1997-2005.
Network Administrator for 16,000+ node TCP/IP and Appletalk network spread over 52 remote locations throughout Shelby County. Managed firewalls, content filters, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NTP, TFTP, FTP, calendaring, database, web and mail servers. In addition to monitoring and troubleshooting the switches, routers and wireless devices that made up the network, I help design the network and determine needed switches and backbone link speeds. I also provided support for all popular software programs and hardware for the Central Office personnel.
